67 Uniroyal Laredo White Wall Question

Hi All,

I have what appears to be a real deal original 775x15 Uniroyal Laredo tire (non DOT, correct tread, etc). All side wall markings are dead on real deal (The Rain Tire, Uniroyal, Laredo, 77x15, 4 ply rating 2 ply, etc).

The white wall however measures 3/4 instead of 5/8. I know all 67's that came with Uniroyal Laredo white wall had 5/8 white walls. Any idea what this is? Factory deviation during a tooling change or something like that?

It indicates Uniroyal on the larger font but, what about the small square, on the side? Does that indicate Uniroyal or, US Royal?

It says Uniroyal and the US Royal below it.
