1953-1962 fuel filters identification

Have had a box full of these early AC filters for years. Can someone identify these as to what years they are applicable to by the picture below.

dates are on inside of lids. filter on right is correct for a 58 corvette. center filter was never used on a corvette.

Center filter is similar to '54 filters but not quite. Here's an original:

Randy,

Seems as if that filter was an early filter for the 53-58 period and probably replaced by the center filter at some time from AC Delco. Is the center filter a replacement or did it actually come on some Corvettes?

The small AC was never used on Corvettes as original equipment. Only the large AC. It was also used on the 55-57 T-Birds. You will find a year of production cast on the inside of the lid. Be very careful when using this type of filter. The lids will warp from the bails being over tightened. You can check the fit from glass bowl to the lid, by putting the 2 parts together without the gasket. If you have any rocking motion, you will have to either straighten the lid, or replace it.

The domed filter was used up to 58 at least and I thought the large AC was original and the small AC was the replacement. Thanks for verifying this. Was trying to identify these as I have a box full and wanted to identify them as to year before putting them on E-bay.

from what I read, you are stating that the domed top with a small AC you posted is a replacement. all you have to do is read the date on back of the lid and I bet you find that it is a pre-corvette dated filter. I know some are dated 52.
