You need to know what you are looking for; early 63s had frosted hubcabs....later ones did not...

Don't know how nice they have to be, I have a driver quality set of polished caps, very presentable with a few very small dings in the outer rim..
I ran them for years and took them to regional judging, they are that nice...

Be prepared for sticker shock for a totally restored set. Even more if NOS. Way over a thousand.

            hi Frank,

My corvette was built 5th week of April 1963, I assume it would be considered mid/late year.........would the chrome be the proper hub caps for my car? I would use them for NCRS Flight Judging, would they meet the proper hub caps for my build date?

I would be interested in 4 of the best chrome hub caps, I am assuming that they are correct with center spinner and 6 bars?

            Please quote me a price.

            Ken

Yes, the polished caps are what you want; my May car runs those...
I'll dig my caps out tomorrow and post some pics and then you can decide if you want them and I'm always reasonable on selling parts...

Harry is right - prices for pristine caps are eye-watering. I scored a restored set at Lakeland Regional last year which is the only reason I'm selling the old ones. Fella was selling them for $650 but a mutual friend got me a 'deal' at $525 for the set of four.

Yes, the center spinner and 6 bar and spinner caps are correct; the set I offer went through regional judging on my 93% Second Flight car....if they lost any condition points I don't recall - it would have been minimal...(see pic)..

Re: 1963 corvette hub cap assembly

According to the last JG 63s with VIN #s after 2500 should have the polished hubcaps...
I'll send a PM with my email address and you can send me an email and I'll respond with pics and price.
Absolutely NO pressure to buy these, I've had them laying around for 1-1/2 years and they can lay around some more if they don't fit your needs...

                  Thanks Frank,

My vin# last 4 is 4004 looks like the chrome polished are the correct ones.

                  I'll wait for your reply

                      Ken,

Not only are the early 63 caps frosted, they are a different stamping than the later polished caps. The earlier caps have a rounded edge where the later caps are less rounded.
You may find some people paint the later caps and polish the earlier ones.
I can send you examples of both designs if you wish.

Joe is correct.. Early frosted style on the left, later polished style on the right. They did continue to offer frosted caps over the counter, but they were just the later thin configuration with the frosted paint.
