The trouble with this product is that it does not list the API service category. It should be GL-5. That's why I prefer buying gear oil from an auto parts store - usually more convenient and cheaper.

But Duke grape Scent. I will be able to smell it every time I drive my car. No need for air fresheners.

I think I am nose blind to all the old diff's I opened up that had 40 year gear oil in them. I would like to see how this stuff works over time. I wouldn't run that in a diff myself, I still use Lucas 85-140.

Gary this is not being used for a corvette, it the transfer case fluid on my wife's Chevrolet Traverse.

                Hi Ed
I expect that will be fine, I still would like to know how it holds up over time. Will it still have the Grape smell?

I wonder if the additive smells like peanut butter?
