    1954 starter solenoid plunger

    Hi folks. Just wondering if there is anything that can be done to the plunger that will aid in smooth operation. Just keep it clean with a cloth? Any lubrication? Thanks as always

      Guy,

      You're on the right track. Just make sure any rust is removed and it is clean and dry. No need to lubricate it and more than likely lubrication would cause problems and would certainly attract more dust and dirt into the area.
