Installation of Windshield Wiper Transmission Covers on C-2 Corvettes
After many years of having it sitting I am now working on my '67 Convertible. One area that is giving me some frustration is trying to replace the windshield wiper transmission covers. I had a set that had been around for several years. When I took them out of the package one split when I touched it. The other one split when I started trying to install it. I have another set ordered but I am wondering if anyone has a recommended method of installing these items. Thanks in advance! Brooks Glover Jr. (2141)

nylon parts should be stowed away with some moisture as it does affect the material's ability to resist becoming brittle.Comment

Stephen and Gene, thank you for your posts. I received the new windshield wiper transmission covers late on Monday evening and installed them yesterday. I soaked them in hot water before installing them. I used two different deep well sockets and a plastic hammer to drive them into position. These parts came with instructions from Paragon to either soak in hot water or heat them with a heat gun. The hot water worked for me. Thanks again! Brooks Glover Jr. (2141)Comment
