Added a new file to the Update Page related to C2 Ground Strap and Antenna mounting hardware.

Alan Drake composed this and is a work in progress. Unfortunately his PC crashed while he was composing it. When he gets his PC fixed up he's hoping to complete it.

His original was semi-corrupted but has been resurrected by a pdf magician

to be included here for now. This isn't complete but has much useful information and includes some great hardware reference photos and some hardware specs. And it is also searchable which can come in very handy.

Alan thanks for your continued work on this. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

Saginaw Steering Column Blueprints 1965 to 1980

I've acquired a large group of blueprint images stored in our Archives area.

Edit - Note: It is best to download, save, and use the zoom feature on your computer for best viewing. Originals were made not using optimal scan resolution.

These are from the Saginaw Division including 1965 to 1980 Steering Columns, both Standard and Telescopic. Some of the images are a bit light and may be hard to read but most are quite clear. All are pdf image format.

I'm placing them here in this post for now to get them out there for anyone that could use them immediately. I will get them better organized with a better file naming convention when I get time. All are simply x.pdf, i.e. 0001.pdf to 0053.pdf. You'll have to peruse through them for now to get what you need.

0001.pdf is the newest year(1980)

0053.pdf is the oldest year(1965-1966)

Special Thanks to Bill Sangrey and his efforts to help get these materials to me so I can get them out to our members.

Mike Hunt 1956 & 1957 data attached. These are searchable. Use Ctrl F when in Adobe Reader. Note that it's best to minimize your search strings, i.e. if looking for a vin, use the last few digits, not the entire vin#.

I acquired these many years ago from a public website. Someone converted them to OCR(Optical Character Reader) format. I apologize as I forget who it was.

I had the raw non-OCR files on my Comcast free website server but they removed all user sites several years ago.

Many of the files exceeded our maximum filesize limitations when I created the database, and that's why I had to create links. I prefer having the files locally, but rather than duplicating all of the files to our server, in many cases I chose the link method to save space.

That's the problem with links though, as they tend to disappear when the originator changes or closes down.

It took a long time to get the permissions to allow me to create this Sticky then by adding many files. I try to minimize usage of server space when possible.
