Now that Wesleys whitewall cleaner has changed hands the new product is not as good. Any good products on the market that do a good job? Thanks in advance.

Re: Whitewall tire cleaner
I always use good ole' fashioned COMET CLEANSER with a scrub brush. It also helps cut through the tire shine products residue. Keeps my white letters nice and bright white.Attached FilesJimmy

Re: Whitewall tire cleaner
Over the years, beginning when I was a kid and my Dad first showed me how to wash a car, I've used the Comet/scrub process, the Wesley's/scrub process, the SOS pad process and even plain old 409/scrub process. More recently, I stumbled across a product called Mr. Cartoon Sanctiond Brite White whitewall cleaner and a scrub brush on my '51 Chevy Styleline Coupe's wide whites. When I got the car, the whitewalls were dingy. This product took care of that in one application. Took almost the whole bottle. See the attached photo for results. I maintain my C3's white letters with 409 spray and a stiff brush.
In my opinion, nothing makes the whitewall or white letters show better than a nice dark black side. For that, I use Griot's Vinyl and Rubber Dressing. It gives a nice black color without any shine.
Before posting, I GOOGLED the Mr. Cartoon product. I see it's available on eBay right now.
Hope this helps...Attached FilesLast edited by Don L.; June 20, 2017, 09:12 PM.Don Lowe
