67 Teal carpeting

I am sure this has been asked several times, and I know no replacement carpeting
is full credit, but who sells the best original open loop carpet for 67 car?

Also same question for 67 under car exhaust system, I think there was a company in Indiana that
used to have a pretty good system. Was it Allens?

Yes . Allen stainless exhaust in Logansport, Indiana. Mike Allen is there almost all the time and makes a very good product in my opinion. Hope this helps Curt

Talking about '67 teal carpet there is nothing available that is even close to the correct color let alone weave.

I seem to recall Auto Custom Carpets fit well. Correct weave not so much. Correct teal color again not so much. Pinch welting not even close.

I hand dyed the closest lighter color that was available and hand sewed the original pinch welding thru original holes on to the new carpet. So I ended up with good representation of the original except the weave pattern and density is not correct. I think you will find the repops are a looser pile and not straight weave pattern as originals.

Sorry no easy solution here.

I agree totally with Gene. Nothing is close. I went through this over 5 years ago. However, the closest set regarding configuration like heel pad and color is Al Knoch. The binding shade was off though.

Shy of scouring the planet looking for a original set, then restoring any condition issues, is the only way you'll get satisfaction.
