    1965 with AC

I am finishing up my Body off restoration of my 1965 327/300 with Factory AC and I have 2 questions looking for answers.
#1 The Correct NOS Part Number for the Expansion Tank Pressure Cap - is it RC15 - 861050 ( has Stamped 15LB RC 15 in circle on right hand side)
#2 The correct Fan and Fan Clutch for this car - Is Fan supposed to be 18" - 7 Blades?

    Roy,
Per the JRM: 1. The AC cap should be 15 psi with "an AC logo and RC-26".
    2. The fan (AC) is part #3853943, 18" diameter, seven blades. Good Luck, Don H.

No 1965 Corvette ever used an RC-15 radiator cap. Also, for radiator caps neither the AC part number nor the GM part number are proof of original configuration. Configuration of this part sometimes changed over the years without a change in part numbers.

Contact Joe Perri 312-307-1977 he can answer your question about the radiator cap, he can even provide you one. If you ever have a chance to sit in on one of his seminars it is well worth your time. BTW he is doing one at the nationals this year.
