C4 coolant

Is there another way besides removing the knock sensors for coolant release? Can it be sucked out and were?

Frank, this is the lowest point to get the system drained, if your afraid to remove sensors, the only choice is to drain and refill Radiator. But this does not get but about one and quarter gallons. If the coolant is not rusted you can repeat this next year.

Knock sensors are really not difficult to remove to do a complete drain of coolant. The block does hold back a lot of coolant. Have removed the knock sensors every 5 years with the coolant change in my 1996 LT4 since it was bought as a new Corvette in 1996.

I agree. Removing the knock sensors is not all that difficult. First, remove the shields (if so-equipped), the connector (pulls off) and, then, the knock sensor. The important thing is to not add any thread sealant and definitely do not apply excessive torque when re-installing the sensors. Use the torque value described in the service manual.
