I just heard Vic passed away on Friday at 80. Very sorry to hear this, while I did not know the man about 10 years ago I was called by their customer service dept to follow up on a survey I submitted. I was surprised they offered such good customer support I wrote Edelbrock to express my appreciation and for the good products they made. I have used their intakes for close to 40 years now. I didn't think anymore about until I received a shirt and personal letter from Vic- that is good old school service and not many places here have it anymore I'm afraid. RIP Vic.

Re: Vic Edelbrock jr
Met Vic at the San Diego Speed Festival on the North Island Naval Air Station vintage races in 2012, I was admiring his 63 Z06 and he came over and chatted with me about the car, super nice guy! When I was leaving his signed a red Edelbrock hat and gave it to me, thanks,
RIP Vic.1964 Red FI Coupe, DUNTOV '09

I'm sorry to hear that. Edelbrock is an absolutely first class company. I use and highly recommend their products. Most GMPP big block aluminum heads for at least the last 20 years are actually manufactured by Edelbrock. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Vic Edelbrock jr
For years Vic and Cammie both attended and raced the Steamboat Vintage Auto Race on the streets of Steamboat, Co. I enjoyed visiting with him and he told me the story of his Z06. It seems that he lost track of it and many years later just found the frame outside of a shop near his establishment. He then built the vintage race car from that humble beginning. He was always very kind and approachable with great stories. I always looked forward to spending time with him in that beautiful setting. It's a good life!

Re: Vic Edelbrock jr
Great guy, great family. I had the privilege of racing my 64 B/P race car in the same Group 6 class at Monterey Historic races from 1989 thru 1994. Vic was always pushing the rules and was a very fast driver. Steve Earle had strict tech rules, in that engine displacement and carburetor and FI systems must be no more than .030 over stock. Many other race clubs allowed ''run what your brung'' motors.
So Vic got protested one Friday at a weekend at the Sears Point Wine Country Classic. The tech crew ''pumped the motor'' with a PG meter and discovered it was a 383 cu inch. He was banned from the Sat-Sun race. Most people would pack up and go home.
Not Vic, he went out and bought a ton of rib eye steaks and other great BBQ goodies and invited the entire race people of all classes to his Pit for Saturday dinner after the races.
After that that we all teased him if he was using his ''BEER AND BEANS'' or ''WINE AND CHEESE'' motor at future events. His wife Nancy and daughters Chrissy and Cammie were always in the pits and also drove his race cars.Over 80 Corvettes of fun ! Love Rochester Fuel Injection 57-65 cars. Love CORVETTE RACE CARS
