Once he gets the code(s) from the blinking light Google will tell him what the code(s) mean. Of course I have to point out that those of us who work on our own cars find it worthwhile to invest in Factory Service Manuals that will give us answers to the above and so much more. They are not inexpensive, but they will save one a lot of money in the long run.

There are many 1982 Corvette factory service manuals on eBay right now, many for less than 50 bucks. As I've said many times before, if one is going to do ANY service work on their car, one needs to have the factory service manual. Does not matter if the car is a Corvette or any other.

The ALDL connector is located in the center console under the ash tray. As mentioned in the video, sometimes they are upside down. The factory manual is the best source for the pin orientation and procedure to display the error code sequence lights. For several years, at the end of a PV, I would inform the owner it was time to check for error codes and they were very surprised that 82s had stored error codes.
