    Glass T-Top Seal-Insulator Rubber

Help. I am restoring a pair of original 1979 Glass T-tops and need to replace the Seal-Insulator Part#472739 (See picture) with the correct rubber seal. I seems to be just some type of rubber weather strip cut to length and seals the inside glass to the frame. I have searched most of the major online parts stores but they don't seem to offer it. Any assistance on where I can find it. Estimate will need about 6 1/2 feet or 75 inches for each top. Thanks.

Isn't that just a glass t-top weatherstrip? I replaced my 78's last summer with a replacement kit and found the fit spot on. Now there is another seal that snugs the headliner frame to the glass and it uses a urethane sealer that is a different adhesive than the 3M weatherstrip sealer.

No Tom, that is not the outer weather strip and yes, it is the seal that snugs the headliner frame to the glass. I'm surprised at how many parts retailers can't tell the difference. Well anyway after calling around I finally found David at Melrose T-tops who knew what I was talking about. He's shipping me out about 15 feet of the seal which is what I'll need.

What do they call it? When I removed the old weather strip, I found the 3M adhesive cleaner inadequate to clean the urethane, at which time I learned it was a different sealer. I used razor blades to clear it for the WX tight fit.

When I restored my tops, I used their trim and called a few times to get the technique somewhat mastered. Also stopped by their booth at Carlisle last year and talked to him personally...good guy and good group.
