See some vendors sell side flags for 57 to 60 and others sell flags specific to 57.What is the difference between the 57 side flag and the 58-69 side flag?thanksjoe

There were two cross flag side emblems used over the 1957-60 period. The first was GM #3742213. This emblem was used from 1957 to at least sometime in 1960, if not all of 1960. The second was GM #3767507. It may have been used for later 1960. In any event, the 3767507 replaced the 3742213 for SERVICE in February, 1961.

As far as I can discern the above two emblems are essentially identical. However, I believe there is one (unseen) difference. I believe the the 3742213 uses slightly thinner attaching posts than the 3767507. In addition, the different part numbers are embossed on the rear of the two emblems.
