    Hilarious Driveline Ad

Just got my issue # 135 today. In the "Services and Miscellaneous" section (pg 91) is a supposed for sale ad for a red '63 FI Big brake Tanker by the mother of her son (who joined the Hari Krishna's 40 years ago). .. mother is moving to a retirement home, must sell quickly $5000. or trade for usable sewing machine. NCRS editor says remainder of phone # cut off in FAX transmission (member # 17535).

Vinnie is probably checking to see if we are still reading the Driveline.

I live about 5 miles from Vinnie. I think I saw that car in his driveway today. Phone number cut off! A likely story. :-)

OK, I'm one more that saw it. Even had the wife cracking up. Keep it up!

Maybe he just wanted to see if anybody was paying attention. Reminds me of a science teacher I had in high school who would always put one oddball question in every test, like "Who's buried in Grants Tomb?" or "What color is an orange?"

It's Vinnie's idea for a visual acuity/attention span test for all of us with 4 digit or less membership #s.......

This was the price in Calgary Alberta, back in 1986 (when I still had hair). 36.4 cents (Canadian) per litre, or $1.38 [Canadian] per U.S. gallon. Fifty bucks to fill.

Man, those were the days Wayne, I remember 25 cent/gallon gas around here in the mid '60s, when I dreamed of having a Corvette like this someday. I actually paid $8.50/gallon, the sign was out of date. But, even though I only had one tanker to fill, I maxed out my MasterCard pretty fast.........
