C2 Judging "Micro Winged Wheel Weights"

Would these "Micro Winged Wheel Weights" on a 66 be acceptable for judging?

    Bob,
I'm not an expert on wheel weights, but these came off a '65 and a '67 I previously owned. Note the 1.5 and 1 "ounce" designation on these weights. The ones shown in your ebay ad do not show these. I would be leery of those weights...could be "gram" weights and not for your Corvette. JMHO.

I am with leaf on those weights in your pic.s, I have many Micro weights as Leif is shown and none with the letter B on both sides.

Based on excellent article by Gary S. Beaupre in the Winter 2005 issue (Vol 31 #3) of Corvette Restorer, the 1966 AIM lists .5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 wheel weights. Service replacements included .25 .75 and 3.0.

I reached out to Gary a few months ago as I was looking too. He was nice enough to fwd his articles. I'll DM you.

          Bob,

If I were judging your car, I would not take a deduct for those weights, presuming they are the right length for 1.0 or 1.5 oz, and not 1.25 oz. Since those weights don't have any metric designation, there clearly are period correct for C2.

Were the same "Micro Winged Wheel Weights" used on the 1957?

I don't know if Micro winged wheel weights were used in 1957. I've never seen any good research on C1 wheel weights.
