Convertible Top Repair

Any tip on repairing convertible top. Mouse wanted to get inside my car parked in detached garage and ate a one inch hole in top to get inside. Black top from Al Knoch was installed. The mouse has since expired.

Any repair will look like a repair. But you can make it functional, as long as the looks don't bother you. My choice would be new top. Do you have a hardtop? If so better secure against critters. But still need to store soft top in up position or it will shrink.

PS a lot of mouse traps or check out you tube on home made traps.

Mr Rowe... anytime you get a hole or rip in a top... well its a matter of time before the weather and operating it stretches it bigger. I've used the patch kits and patched the hole from inside the car. Keeping the water out for short term it too saw its demise when you operate the top it pulled away.

Best advice..replace the top, store with the top up and never under the boot. They also love to nest under deck lids and urinate on top if they do eat it. Mice urine is corrosive to top bows. I had this issue. I'd rather them nest under the seats than the top deck lid.
