Question on the vapor return line for the dyno run

    Guys,

I'm getting ready to run my engine on the dyno and I wanted to ask what I should do with the vapor return line, since there of course is no gas tank to connect it to. Can I just cap this, or will it compromise the fuel pump function and therefor the HP rating on the dyno? Is there actual gas that comes out of it if it's open? Is it cannot be capped and it only releases "vapors" is it safe to just leave open? thanks.

If you're referring to the small diameter port on the inlet side of the fuel pump, there's normally a constant flow of liquid fuel and very little actual vapour. The flow can be routed to the inlet side of the pump with a Tee fitting. Your dyno shop should already be set up for this.
