    Small block clutch fork

On a 327/350 is there any way to remove the clutch fork from the throw out bearing and pull out through the bell housing ?
    Thanks,

No way that I know of. Even if it could be done (which I doubt), re-installing the fork would be "twice as impossible".

Let me explain what I am trying to do. I believe I have installed the throw out bearing incorrectly in the fork. I think I put the metal clips on the fork behind the bearing instead of into the grove in the bearing. What I would like to do is pull the fork away from the bearing and then push it back into the correct location on the bearing.

The reason I believe I have the bearing installed wrong is I am getting a squealing noise when I engage the clutch. If I can prove that's the problem I will pull the tranny and replace the bearing. I don't want to go to that trouble just yet if I don't have to.
        Thanks,

The tranny spline shaft needs to be out of the bearing to do anything with the fork, sorry for bad news. But once the tranny is out you will see if bearing/fork is assembled correctly or not as long as bearing does not fall off fork.

                Steve,
Pull the rubber boot and with a mirror you should be able to see if the tabs are in the right place, but then again the squealing noise?

When I picked up my car back in 72, I had a throw out bearing squealing noise. The dealer 'greased' the throw out bearing (I'm not sure if that's even possible, but that's what they told me). I'm sure they didn't want to pull the transmission. I had this done 3 or 4 times. After about a year the squeal went away, never came back.

I'm not sure if this is a common problem, but if you're pulling the tranny, might as well replace it.
