Hemmings Oil Recommendations for Classic Cars... Duke???

I read this in the Hemmings Daily that I get and it says the CJ-4 spec is well below the acceptable levels of zinc.

Duke what is your opinion based on what has been discussed her on the TDB in earlier threads?

    Thanks,

    James

The CJ-4 P limit the author states is wrong. It's correctly stated in my oil article. Have you read it? For those manufactures that state the P concentration in their online spec sheets, it's usually very close to the 1200 ppm CJ-4 limit.

Typical marketing B.S. The sky is falling, unless you buy our product at almost $10 qt., then everything will be okay. https://www.hemmings.com/classic-oil

Believe what Duke says, not someone that's trying to sell you something.

        Duke,

Yes, I have read it (your) article. I posted this to get your reaction to what was said in the Hemmings article based on your recommendation (in your article) and recent post in other engine oil related threads that current oil with API donut with the CJ-4 or CK-4 designation will be fine to use in the older engines. I do and will continue to use what you have recommended.

        Thanks,

        James

There's other inaccuracies in that article as well, ignore it.
