Flasher Bracket Correct for all 1956-Early '57 (before VIN 1700)

I have an early '57 vette (before VIN 1700) and wanted to use the correct Flasher bracket as shown in the NCRS Manual, page 31, upper left corner. I was wondering if anyone has a picture of where exactly and how this bracket is mounted to the "lower instrument dash panel reinforcement bar just to the right of the steering column" as described in the manual.

From the picture, I don't see a hole or any other feature on the bracket to help mounting on a flat bar...Just have it laying on the reinforcement bar?

Any suggestions?

I am not sure about 56-57
On 53-54 the same clip is screwed to the ground strap bar just to the right of the steering wheel with a pan head screw.
I would assume they would be similar
all the clips i have or have remove have a tapped thread in them
