C1 Driver's Side Power Window Switch Repair

The original driver's side power window switch in my 1962 Corvette does not work in all positions. I am guessing these have fairly simple internals and disassembly with a good cleaning would address the issue. Has anyone rebuild one of these switches and has some tips on how to do it without damaging the switch?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I thought there was an article somewhere on this.. Corvette Restorer or a PDF ? Perhaps Rich Mozzetta ?
At any rate I can't see them being much more difficult than this approach for C3s:

Thanks Frank, I ran across that youtube video and suspect once disassembled a C1 switch repair would be similar. What I am really hoping is someone has some experience on how to disassemble the C1 switch. Original driver side C1 switches are hard to find and I am concerned about damaging it during disassembly. I did search through past Corvette Restorers and found a great article by Mike Ernst on C1 power windows, but it did not get into the details of switch disassembly.

Mike I've never disassembled one but if you can post photos of the backside I could give you some suggestions.

Thanks Rich, After doing some more research, all of the picture of claimed orginal switches look like the one you posted. The switch I have has the same pin out BUT the body looks different and is marked "Delta Electric Co.". I am pretty sure this is not an original switch and I am just going to use a reproduction switch I have.

            Thanks Again,
            Mike

Took mine apart several years ago. The single switch pass side comes apart very easy and without any damage.

Not so with the dual switch driver side. I broke it trying to get it apart. I can still use it, but the pot metal is broken on the inside. There is no way to get the pin out. But if you do, they go back together very easy - its just getting it apart that I don't see any way to do it without breaking it.
