I was surprised by the flight judging fee $300, last year it was $200, very large percentage increase, probably will keep the flight car registration DOWN.

Registration was $160 unless you submitted it by paper. That $160 buys you access to all of the judging seminars, tech sessions and allows you to judge cars. It also allows you into the exhibit hall for the entire week. The registration fee also pays for the "free" welcome reception. San Antonio is a lot different from Frisco or any other regional. For $10 you can walk in and look at the cars for one day. It all depends on what you want to do.

My wife and I will be attending the National. We will be driving our white C7 convertible in the Central PA road tour and will show as a Sportsman parking it inside. Since these cars have sealed fuel systems, why does it matter how much fuel is in the tank? Additionally, if I am forced to disconnect the battery, I lose all the settings and data from the on board computers. I'll have to reset the window indexing and then worry about whether the windows will work as they should when I put the top up and down. Will the judges actually inspect the fuel gauges and battery disconnects on C7s and will they not let us enter the site if we show up with our fuel tank half full?

Fire Marshal rules are what controls how much fuel a vehicle can have and the battery disconnect.

Fire Marshal inspects each car entering and if the gas gauge has more than the specified amount of 1/4 on the gauge, the car will not be allowed to enter the Convention Center.

FWIW, there are battery cut off's available that maintain the settings with a small by-pass connection. This type of battery cut-off switch does not permit the car to be started.

So these battery disconnects with bypass circuitry are allowed?

                Copied from the registration information:

2017 NCRS Convention Vehicle Fire Marshal Regulations
The following fire regulations apply to Corvettes registered for display or judging inside the Convention Center.
                - Less than a 1/4 tank capacity or 5 gallons of gas. Owners must manage this requirement. Convention staff will not be able to assist. No gas can be removed at Convention Tent.
                - Gas cap taped shut. Convention staff will provide the tape.
                - Battery cut off switch or battery cable disconnected.

I don't know for sure, but the $10 day pass is pretty standard for a walk-in at a National. As for the registration cost; it's probably due in large part to the expense of renting the facilities for a week. Judging by the cost of hotel rooms, I think the Riverwalk area of San Antonio is quite a pricey place to visit. Just a guess.
If the costs stretch you thin, give me a wave when you see me in the bar and i'll buy you a whiskey.

Since I'm registered for the Event as a "Member" and not a "Entrant" with a car for judging, I have not received a Schedule of which car years daily schedule.

Is there a specific schedule showing which days are allocated for specific years that can be listed here? I may want to OJ but unsure which days are allocated for the different years.

                    Thanks,
                    Rich

It is listed The Driveline, probably online somewhere also.

Thanks Dave, When I got home I played around trying to get that Driveline page looking better but didn't have time.

We're bringing 5 cars for Flight and once they're staged Sunday and OPs done Monday morning, I'm gonna get bored and fidgety. I've never OJ'd with the Bowtie folks, if OJ's are allowed, so I'll need something to do Tuesday if they won't let me in. I suppose if the Texas organizers need help with something, I could do that, but all the hard work will likely be done before I get there today. I'm taking my stockpile of Firewall Fastener Tools for Gary Pronesti to peddle on his Vendor Table, but giving Tool Demos is gonna get old fast. I don't drink so that's out. However, I suppose I could learn how to.

Question for the Judging Organizers.....Since that page stated "Subject to Change", what are the changes if any?

Also, there are replicates for Flight both days. 1963-1964 and 1967.
Are 63-64 and 67 split both days? If so, what is the split?
Are we doing 63-64 FI vs non-FI? Are we doing 67 BB vs SB? Yes/No/Maybe?

Would someone please publish details here?

Good question. I'd guess if any, they've been pre-selected. In Lakeland we did C2 only. I wonder if we're doing any at all and if any C1's are invited.
