C3 Windshield Header S.S. Reveal Molding attachment

I am pullingmy hair out on how to install the S.S. Narrow Windshield Header Reveal Moldingand how in attaches to the Sheet Metal Header Frame on my 75 convertible. No problems with the wide S.S. Windshield Header molding or Chrome Corner Moldings, just the Narrow Reveal. The Aim Manuals 1972, 1973 & 1974 show the narrow Reveal asbeing pushed down into several Clips (3913937) that are screwed to the MetalHeader Frame. My confusion is that my MetalHeader Frame has absolutely no holes where the Clips should be or were ever attached.I only have the two outer Clips at the Chrome Corner Moldings.Any help would be appreciated as my hair isalmost gone.

You can see the clips that the 72 uses, and they screw into the upper header. The first photo shows the thinner piece of trim partially removed from the car. As you noted your 75 may differ, but I though the photos might jog your memory, or help when looking at the car.

My 72 has ten of those clips spaced across the upper windshield frame. Unfortunately, those clips cannot be installed with the windshield in place, and without those clips you'll never get the molding attached properly.

That upper windshield frame is often corroded (ask me how I know) and those clips may have been broken off if your car has ever had it's windshield replaced in the past. I just went through a windshield frame repair on my car and several of those clips just fell apart after the windshield was removed. I wish it were an easier fix for you, but you'll have to remove the windshield, install the clips, then re-install the windshield.

there are no screw holes on a 1975 the clips just fit under the top chrome Dennis
