    1954 carburetors

Dear family, I want to have my carbs rebuilt. Not trying to top flight. Just keeping her as a survivor for now. So i want to maintain the aging patina look but completely rebuild the internals if possible.
If no, I'll fully restore them.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on a rebuilding service.

    Thanks

Since you are not looking to have the finishes restored my suggestion is to rebuild them yourself. Not hard to do.

You can get the parts from many sources that specialize in YH carbs (not necessarily Corvette) via a web search. Suggest you make sure the kits you buy have the Viton needle tip as they seal better. You might want to use the supposedly ethanol resistant accel pump diaphragms while you are at it.

While you are doing that web search you will see that most all the companies that sell the parts also do rebuilds in case you don't want to do it yourself.

I'll try to get that kit Troy. Thanks.. if not I'll probably go with Mike's suggestion. As i have tried to rebuild a carb before.. it didn't work out so good.

Check with Steve Newsom a NCRS, who specializes in 53-55 Corvettes. Steve's listed in the Community / Member List menu.
