Hi. I'm new to NCRS and just purchased a 2 owner C3 with 25k miles that is almost 99% original down to the original tires. I'm in San Antonio so I am in the perfect location to enter it for judging at this years Nationals. I am told according to according to Judging Reference Manual Para.30, that the car must have been judged Third Flight or higher NCRS award. Does that award have to be earned at a regional? or will a Chapter event award suffice? Thanks

Re: Judging Prior to National
A chapter meet is sufficient for Flight judging. However, your car sounds like a Star/Bowtie candidate. For that, the car must be judged at a regional and approved by the team leader for the national. Most likely, it is too late to do that this year as only one regional remains before July-- Newton, Iowa, in May.
Register for San Antonio; we would love to see it in Flight judging.- Top

Re: Judging Prior to National
Great. Thanks for confirming that. Now to find a chapter or regional judging event near me in San Antonio that I can attend before Nationals in July. Won't be able to make the Heartland Regional in Iowa in a few weeks, but there's a Rocky Mountain Chapter in Denver coming up later in May I may be able to travel to. Thanks again.- Top

Re: Judging Prior to National
As Don said, either a Chapter or a Regional will qualify you to Flight Judge at the National. Just get a third flight. The classes fill up quickly so I suggest you act quickly. You might want to check with The National Judging Office to see how many spots are open at the National. That would be Dave Brigham.

Re: Judging Prior to National
It's a Red/Red L82 I just picked up from the second owner up in Grand Rapids, MI. It has 25,500 miles and is about 95% original. From what I can tell the only things not original are the air cleaner intake air ducts and the power antenna. Unfortunately the front left brake caliper was leaking badly so I had to replace it. I opted to replace the front two calipers with correct casting number rebuilt's from Duntov Motor Works. I kept an still have the originals. Oh and it even has the original tires (I checked the TINs).
