66 427/390 hp with transmission

I have a friend ask me to help sell a 66 427/390 motor with transmission that he took out of a customized 63 Corvette. It is supposed to be from a 66 Corvette. The last numbers are 110807. What would be the value. Thanks for the help.

To the owner of 1966 #10807, if it still exists, it would be worth a lot of $$$$$. To the rest of the population, a small fraction of that amount since it's nothing more than just another engine.

The value of the motor and transmission would depend on the condition motor/trans and how many original components (carb, manifolds, heads, etc) are on the engine. But like Jim posted, it's worth a lot more to the owner of 10807 than to anyone else. Where is the motor/trans located?

Check with Indiana DMV and give them vin numbers 194376S110807 and 194676S110807 and see if either are in the system. You will be checking on a 66 Coupe and Convertible as the engine does not identify what king of Corvette it came from. If you get a positive, they will more than likely not share the owners name. Post the result and we can go from there. There are people that can help from there.
