    Color rear trunk emblem

    I have seen some 1962 Corvettes with a black trunk emblem insert and some with silver. What is correct ?

      The black backing plate is correct for the 1962.

          Walter, If you are speaking of the backing plate for the emblem. The Judging manual states that 61's are spun aluminum look under the plastic emblem and 62's are either aluminum or magnetic steel painted glossy black..
