    My 70 L-46, M-21, PS, PB, Non-AC, does not have a hole there, just solid fiberglass.

      So it looks like it's either for a missing part related to a different option than your car (LS-5, AC), or it's not TFP.

        I had a hole like that in my '67. I posted the problem here and the consensus among the viewers here was that it was for routing wiring for an under the hood car alarm. So I patched it up.

          Hmmm... This car has the UA6 factory alarm option, which is intact but does not use this hole.
