I searched the forum archives and failed to find much on the orignal sway bar bolts.
I have some pictures I took today of the original bols for a 1963 Sway bar and decided to share.

Below are some of the washers I have in the package along side an original. I don't know if the part number on the package is for the Corvette but I suspect so. The GM replacements (if that is what they are) are lager in diameter. However I have no doubt they would work for service replacement. Original is on top.

A picture of the retaining nut along side a standard 5/16 NF nut for comparison purposes.

A broken bracket bolt is pictured below; Head marking is difficult to read.

I am not absolutely positive the parts are original to the 63 but it looks highly likely. (They have been in storage for some time)
The short bolts are not worth saving. One was broken and the other rusty enough the heads are really difficult to read.
I plan on getting the long bolts and spacers re-plated with zinc. I noticed, in the online catalogs, some of the spacers between the rubbers are finished Cadmium Dichromate. Mine appear to be zinc, but I know the dichromate can denigrate quickly. Should I have them zinc plated and call it good? Is zinc the correct plating for the bolts also?

Comments appreciated.
Thanks
Rick
