Re: '62 dash lights and tail lights out
Good news Rich, Some thoughts about your blown 20A fuse;
1. You might have accidentally shorted out a wire while you were changing switches.
2. Check the ground wires on the taillights. I have seen frayed/broken ground wires on the taillights do this to the taillight fuse. A broken ground wire will let current feed back through the other taillights and draw excessive current. But you will see dim taillights if this is the case.
3. Check for corrosion on the back of the fuse panel orange wire, as Rich has said. That can do it - it will let it heat up.
4. Other than that, one of the great mysteries of all time.
