1963 Corvette Gurus - Spare Tire Lock Configuration

OK. The 63-64 NCRS TIM& JG reads that "EARLY 1963 model lock assemblies have no drain hole for water drainage" (this was not a problem on Corvairs ). "Later 1963 & all 1964 model lock assemblies have a 1/4" hole drilled in the casting for water drainage."
So, what's the intelligence on spare tire locks were used or what spare tire locks have been found on 1963 Corvettes that were built in the Dec 1962 and/or Jan 1963. Pete

After 15 years of no update and unprecedented complaints, followed by updates that were not only not updates but reversions for "style", isn't it time that this manual attract serious attention. We are changing cars that deserve SERIOUS ATTENTION into things that they were not. Sorry CC, but it can't be denied any further.

Hi Pete, ran across this post and figured I'd ask if you've had time to straighten out my glove box / spare tire lock situation ? Oh, and additional ignition key too !
