C1 Window glass track guide, screws

ok also know as guide rail where the rolls ride in.
This channel is attached to the lower sash window frame, by 4 screws, 8 per car.
My question is. Where can i get the 8 screws? I stripped a few taken them out.

Ed, these are just flat head phillips machine screws, you should be able to find them at a local hardware store. The vendors do sell them I believe as well. IIRC they are 8/32 x 3/8 but double check that with one of the old ones. Dan

Believe that is correct size - but don't remember if they are 82* or 100*. They also have a captivated star washer that you are not going to find at any hardware store. So if you want to retain the locking feature you will have to Loctite them

At the hardware store, buy some #8 internal tooth star washers. Install one on each screw. As you carefully tighten the screw, the lock washer will be properly bowed.

You can also place a locking washer over the inverted screw and carefully form it with a small hammer in the vise and it will look and function the same. Thumbs UP !

I got the screws and star washers today at Lowes.
