Interior Quarter Trim Panels Vinyl and Paint

Were these panels made of the correct color vinyl originally or were they a common vinyl and painted to interior color?

If the second is true then it makes sense that the screw eyelets which are crimped in place would be painted also. Shold they be painted or not?

The quarter panels on the coupes were covered with colored vinyl along with all of the other interior items that used vinyl. No spray dye and the metal eyelets should be bright finish, not colored.

I assume you are referring to '67 and prior build. The '68 interior is another matter on the screws and eyelets.

Yes...should have said C2-64. My eyelets are red so my panels are either refreshed with dye or paint...but I can clean them.
