    Re: Gilbert Scrivner

Gilbert was a great friend, a true gentleman, a dedicated OU fan, and a person who made great contributions to the NCRS.
He has left us way to soon and he will be missed.

    RIP my friend.

Gilbert was a truly great man! From the first day I met him he treated me as he would a close friend. He will be missed. As many have said, this is a sad day for NCRS.

You should get an OU shirt to wear too.

I count myself extremely fortunate to have served as Gilbert's Vice President. Gilbert was my mentor, he had a strong gentle way of approaching an issue, always resolute in his conviction. He was a generous and caring man who loved God, his family and OU football (i'm not sure in which order)I will miss our long discussions about College football and his friendship. My prayers of love, comfort and peace go out to his family. Rest in peace my friend.

Gilbert was a wonderful guy and a true gentleman. He brought more to this hobby than we all realize. It was my pleasure and honor to know him and share refreshments with him over time. He will be missed. RIP Gilbert.

Several of us attended a very moving and beautiful memorial service today in honor of Gilbert. A warm and sunny day to celebrate his life. Even a few corvettes were in attendance in his honor. Seems like a lot of "OU" was also in attendance. I even heard the OU fight song at the burial.

Yes, Longhorns & Aggies were in the minority for a change. Well done service. Really liked the preachers reference to time, something a lot of us will lose the race with very soon.
