C2 Door Glass Thickness

I need to buy both door glasses for a 64 coupe. I now have PPG on both sides. I mic'd them last night and they are 0.239 thick. But I'd like to know how thick the original LOF Safety Plate Solid Tempered was. I've been pouring over posts. There are some on C1 cars and issues with reproduction thickness but I can't find anything on C2.

Could someone with a 64 coupe measure for me. Other years might be the same also but it would be great to get a 64 thickness measure.

About .235 on my 66 side windows.

Larry, mine are LOF and they measure .238. My car is a 64 coupe.

My vent windows are .234 and .236 so wigh the above I think I know what to do....thanks a lot.

Pilkington measured their glass and said it was 3/16 which is .187 but they just used a scale. They said they got these from Auto City Classic. Previously they had their own made in Cincinnati but no more and were lookint to start making them in Mexico to get the right thickness.

Auto City Classics said their's were .230 and made in Thailand and that any they had sold to Pilkington would be the same. .230 is a hair thin but within my tolerance so that is what I'll likely do. Interestingly, they typically think in MM now and 6MM is .236. Maybe on receipt they will be a little more than .230....here's hoping.

My takeaway is that you have to be careful and ask a lot of questions....someone having a prior good experience does not mean yours will be.
