Our 1972 is January-built with the 'late' seat belt warning system, and it's developed a problem. The car has a manual transmission.
In normal operation, if the ignition was on and the driver's side seat belt was fully retracted, and the emergency brake lever was all the way down, the seat belt warning buzzer would sound. When the brake lever was pulled up enough to cause the center gauge cluster brake warning light to light up, the seat belt buzzer would turn off.
The problem now is that the set belt warning buzzer will stay on regardless of the e-brake lever position (even though the brake warning light is on). The seat belt warning buzzer will stop when the seat belt is extended.
I've looked through the archives with no luck. Can any of you give me suggestions as to a repair?
Thanks,
Larry
