    Underhood Automatic Fire Suppression Systems

Does anyone have experience with these? For a street driven car, I worry about under hood fires which can be devastating to a plastic car.

    BlazeCut Automatic Fire Suppression

Fire Fight Products Automatic Release Fire Suppression (I'm looking at the remote head version; see "products" ==> "small format")

Judging from the internet, each seems popular with RV owners. And each uses a Halon replacement type extinguishing agent. I know racing-type bottle extinguisher systems are an option, but these look much less invasive. If uninstalled, they may leave a few mounting holes in an inner fender, but that's about it.

    Other recommendations?

See nothing about UL or FM approved. Purchase NO fire suppression equipment without those endorsements

I used two 10 lb fire bottles on the Corvette at Bonneville.
We used Firefox fire suppression system, and bought if
from Delaware chassis works. I think that they make a small
        5 lb. system.
You can use a variety of spray nozzles located in the engine
        compartment.

A competition style fire suppression system is an option. But I was looking for a something simple which doesn't require much, if any, cutting, drilling, grinding.

That may be a bit excessive, a simple hand held fire extinguisher is good enough for the extra NCRS flight judging points.

            I couldn't resist........
