Hi,
I am installing a GM crate engine (350/290 hp) in my 1963 and using an Edelbrock Performer 2101 intake manifold and Q-jet carburetor. I purchased the Edelbrock intake manifold gaskets (Edelbrock Part # 7201). For intake manifolds with exhaust crossover passages, Edelbrock recommends punching out the center rectangular hole off the gaskets and installing the metal "exhaust crossover restrictors." Edelbrock says the restrictors "are not required but are recommended for warmer climates." For New England, am I better off punching out the center hole of the gaskets and installing the "restrictors" or leaving the center holes entirely open?
Thanks,
Rob
