The 1970-1972 Tech. and Judging manual 4th Ed. page 65 under Coil Supports states:
"Two bolts hold the bracket to the intake manifold. The inboard one is engine orange, and the outboard one is cadmium plated on painted manifolds. This pattern is found most often on 1970 models and less often on 1972's It is possible that a change took place somewhere in the three years (1970-72). Both bolts are black phosphate on aluminum manifolds with the inboard one painted aluminum on LT1s and unpainted on LS6."
Ok, so if you have a 1972 350 (non LT1) which has a cast intake manifold the correct configuration should be???
Somehow this seems unclear may guess is the last line should read:
"Both bolts are black phosphate on CAST manifolds with the inboard one painted aluminum on LT1s and unpainted on LS6."
Thanks!
