Do they make a u-joint that will fit a 1971 Corvette with an earlier rear end? Thanks in advance, Phil

Re: Universal Joint
Phil, try Denny's Driveshafts in NY 800-955-1872 716-875-6640. I've bought spicers quality u joints there many times. Spicer and other companies make a joint just for your application. It's usually advised to get the non greaseable version. Denny's knows the lastest available versions and I believe spicers are engineered better than most others available , and they're oem on many manufactures machines.- Top

There were only 2 pinion yoke sizes used on the 63-79 differentials. Without going into year specific plus the fact many have been swapped around over the years the fastest way to tell what you have is look at the yoke retention method. U-Bolts = 1310 joint and bolts and caps= 1330 joint. The one exception, that I have seen and worked on was the 63 Gran Sport Diff's and those had the 1310 in cap and bolt.
Spicer makes a conversion joint as do other companies for 1310 to 1330- ANY Spicer dealer can get them or even Ebay will have them. # 5-134X Neapco made a solid 1310-1330 # 10134BF not sure if it's still around.- Top
