mike and his partner frank were viewing the collection of john de sequer, the son of henry de sequr. henry was a GM designer in the 40's thru the 60's according to his son. john claimed his dad designed the 53 corvette. john possess many drawings his did did for GM. impressive. i suspect the history channel with rerun this episode in the future. mike

The posters and the dream cars are divine - a tribute to the dreamers who worked under Harley Earl and Bill Mitchell - but beyond the scope of Mr Bloch and the others already credited - with NO negatives passed out to the other designers of the era. The past seems clear.

That is my favorite episode of American Pickers! First I wanted to re-enlist in the service and then the design portion was a great history lesson in itself.
Hope all the artwork shown goes to a museum so all the world can enjoy the Corvette story!

Mike, I could be wrong, here, but I believe that the GM artist/designer's name was actually "Henry de Segur Lauve". His son, John, (in the video) worked at Cadillac Engineering in the '80s, when I was there, although I had no idea at the time that John had all that cool stuff or that his dad had done such great work...
