67 Main Driveshaft Paint Dabs or "DECALS" ?

    I am restoring my 67 convertible, and whensoda blasting drive shaft found identical orange strip. Green stripe area appeared to be bare metal, and there is a green splotch on differential send that overlaps onto weld line at tube yoke interface. It looks like each stripe has a faint mark going around shaft where stripes are.

        Tom,

        I have restored many and judged many - all have the same stripes. I doubt they were masked then painted . I would guess they were painted while turning the shaft. I tape them and paint
