More recently, and IIRC, it was considered "correct" to have black overspray on the lateral sides of the mufflers, and maybe around the rear-most area where it mounts due to blackout painting of the rear fenderwells.
A fellow is restoring his car and wants to "do it right" the first time.
What are the current thoughts about paint on 1963 exhaust systems?
