1962 340hp accelerator return spring bracket

In the NCRS judging manual brackets type 1 and type 3. These are pictured on page 156. Everywhere else I have seen the type 2 bracket listed. Can anyone help me which is correct? thanks

I believe on page 157 it explains which is correct. You don't explain where "everywhere else" is. If you are going to have your car judged by the NCRS then I guess everywhere else doesn't really matter. Just saying

A type 2 will not mount correctly in the intended position on a 340 car without slight modification.
