Sharing tank sticker, gas tank and surrounding area from 1970 LS5 G18 build date

My car has been had the engine out well before I acquired it, and have been getting it back together. I dropped the tank to replace the petrified fuel lines and to document what was there. The rear of the car looks to be untouched and has been a Texas car its whole life.

I have not seen the blue lettering on the bottom of the tank before nor the green paint mark on the edge of the valance.

All normal findings. The blue lettering is the company that made the material used for the tanks. There is another picture of it floating around.

I realize the tank sticker is in place but doesn't the GM part label indicate a replacement tank?

          Russ,
When I looked at the pics I thought the very same thing!

The part number sticker was on both sides. I have known the car since the late 80s, and that car was been off the road since the mid 90s. It shows 58k miles and suspect that it's not 158k miles.

I have also never seen a frame to valance bracket as shown in picture #1. Any body else or is it just me?

My 70 E18 original fuel tank has a GM part label on it, the rear valence has 3131 in red crayon and a slightly different bracket.

As for the numbers on the rear valence, I've come across three by chance (haven't tried to research them), just talking out loud,

Your 47 year old tank looks to be in pretty good condition.

Car has been in a garage without fuel for over 20 years and seems to have spent whole life in Texas.
