    1957 Corvette weight???

After typing in the info in the title above on the net, on the first page of the search I got the following answers:

    2,985 lbs. 2849 lbs.
2,730 lbs. shipping 2910 curb weight
    2,886 lbs.
    2880 lbs.
    2910 lbs.

So, what does NCRS have to say that the base car with no options weigh and what are the definitions of shipping weight and curb weight?

Daryl, I always refer to the AMA specs, however not always perfect.

GM Heritage is committed to preserving the rich history of General Motors brands while providing a foundation for continued innovation into the future.

Page 29(of the pdf) says.... Shipping weight: 3 Spd = 2737 lbs. / PG = 2829 lbs. (no gas, no water)

IIRC Curb wt is some # of gals of gas and normal coolant level. i.e. a car that can be driven.

Years ago I weighed my '57, 2 tops, 4 speed, 2X4 on truck scales with full fluids and no driver. It weighed 2880.

US Curb wt is Your car with full fuel and without passengers or luggage. Shipping wt was a manufacturers specification that was without fuel but included may included option wts and was used by states for registration/plate taxes and perhaps an estimate for shipping.. I just looked on my 1970 title for my '65 convert it say 3115. AMA says 2985 and I have three options that add 30 lbs

Shipping weight is with all normal equipment (spare tire, jack, wheel covers, etc.) and all fluids full except gasoline, which is 3 gallons. Gasoline weighs about six pounds per gallon. Duke
