Idle stop solenoid application 1997408 ?

I have an Idle Stop Solenoid and can just barely read the characters DR - 1997408 on the side of the solenoid.

The last digit is clearly an 8, not a 9.

The only thing I can find on this number is a Delco-Remy chart that says:

1997408 is obsolete
superseded by
1994450
1997409
1997470

I can get plenty of info on these three part numbers.

Can anyone tell me what the original application was for 1997408?

My best guess / recollection is that this came off of a 72 base motor car, but that is just a guess.

I can't find anything on it. I suspect it may have been a solenoid used on a non-Chevrolet application. The 1994450 and 1997409 were used on Chevrolet applications. However, just because they were, does not necessarily mean that the 1997408 was.
