I noticed the new Restorer showed a chart with power brake booster check valves, they say a 69 has a square box with a 1 or 5 in it. I have a 23K mile original car and it has the raised rib with 3 small circles inside it. I own the car for over 30 years and no one has ever had the engine compartment apart. Does anyone else have a 68 or 69 with this check valve on it because I believe the table in the restorer is not correct. I have 2 1969 Camaros and they have the same check valve on them.

Re: 1969 Power Brake Booster Check Valve
Joe, its likely that there were several configurations of these check valve, I truly think a judge would not even think twice with regards to yours. the restorer is not the written hand book, it's just the persons research on what he's seen. If you note there must be hundreds of these check valves produced for GM over the years all with a different marking or configuration. the judges are more likely to notice the type of clamps that are installed than the check valve.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
